This service opens up a new world of trustworthy mobile payphone communications, creating opportunities for new customers and One4all payphone operators alike”. Building on the success of supervised community payphones, in Kenya, the new service also creates business opportunities for the country’s budding entrepreneurs who can become payphone operators instantly with minimal financial investment. Mr. Dabaly further said, “Apart from the minimal financial investment required to start the business, One4all is easy to manage and convenient to operate since it is a normal handset which one can take along as they undertake other activities”. The One4all SIM is expected to revolutionise the availability and operation of mobile payphones in Kenya. The handset together with the SIM will be sold at and affordable price of Kshs 3,500 which includes airtime worth Kshs 300. One4all solidly places Africa on the map as a driving force behind GSM technology and once again proves that old technologies can no longer be introduced to the African people, and that new features and functionalities is a minimum requirement for Africa. Building on its success in Zambia and Uganda, the service is being launched in Kenya and One4all will be rolled out in all Celtel markets. Celtel Kenya will endeavour to ensure that users are charged on a flat rate basis therefore, One4all payphones opens up affordable and high quality mobile phone communication to Kenyans.
